Shuanglong Han Tomb in Haizhou

On July 8, 2002, Lianyungang City Museum rescued and sorted out a late Western Han Dynasty tomb. The location of the ancient tomb was the construction site of Huayuan Road, Shuanglong Village, Haizhou District, Lianyungang City. As reported by the Provincial Cultural Relics Office, the National Cultural Relics Administration issued the Wenbao Letter 2003 No. 139 in January 2003, officially approving the archaeological excavation of the Shuanglong Han Tomb.

The Neolithic sarcophagus burial site of Dayi Mountain was discovered for the first time in November 1981. The specific location is on the Qingfengling ridge at the foothills of the southeastern corner of Dayi Mountain, one kilometer north of Guanyun County, Lianyungang City. In February 1985, Lianyungang Museum and Guanyun County Museum organized the first excavation; in February of the following year, Nanjing Museum organized a second excavation, exposing an area of 700 square meters and clearing 64 "sarcophagus tombs" from the Neolithic Age , More than 150 pieces of buried cultural relics. A group of clan tombs with special burial customs was discovered at the site. Its particularity has caused widespread concern in the archaeological community.

Jiangjunya Paleolithic-Fine Stone Site

The Jiangjunya Paleolithic-Fine Stone Site was discovered in the late 1990s. It is located in Taohua Village, Jinping Town, Haizhou District, Lianyungang City, 9.5 kilometers northeast of Xinpu District, the city center, and about 300 meters away from the Taohuajian site discovered in the 1980s. Meter. The coordinates are 119°07′50.2″E, 34°31′57.3″N, and the altitude is about 8 meters. More than 70 pieces of fine stone tools have been collected through multiple investigations, and an investigation report was published in 2004.
