From March 22nd to 23rd, the Archaeological Department of the Municipal Museum found a couple's tomb in the Song and Jin dynasties at the construction site of Dongfeng Road outside Quyangmen, Haizhou. For the first time, gold ornaments of the Song and Jin dynasties were unearthed, mainly including a gold 笄 and gold earrings. One pair, one silver 笄 (remnant), one silver hairpin (remnant), two bronze mirrors, and several copper coins. The excavation of gold and silver ornaments fills the archaeological gap in the Song and Jin Dynasties in our city.
From April 12th to May 12th, the Chinese History Museum (now renamed as the National Museum), the Municipal Museum and the Municipal Office of Cultural Affairs continued to excavate the Kongwangshan site. At the same time, work on cliff sculptures and related stone inscriptions and rubbings of Kongwangshan was carried out.

They inspected and visited the historical exhibition hall of the city museum, the cliff statues of Kongwang Mountain, the rock paintings of General Taohuajian and other cultural relics.

The Tenghualuo site in our city was selected as one of the top ten new archaeological discoveries in the country in 2000.

March 8 The "Western Han County Archives" in the Yinwan Han Tomb Slips in the Municipal Museum's collection was selected as the first batch of "Chinese Archives and Documentary Heritage List".
On April 5th, Mr. Zhang Chuanzao donated a batch of precious local historical materials to the Municipal Museum. This batch of historical materials includes more than 1,300 pieces of books, newspapers, magazines, maps, manuscripts and photos, all of which are very precious local documents. The museum held a grand donation ceremony on that day.
On May 28, the "Retrospective Exhibition of Yan Han's Life Art Works", one of the 60th anniversary commemoration activities of Comrade Mao Zedong's "Speech at Yan'an Literary Symposium", sponsored by the Municipal Bureau of Culture, was exhibited at the Municipal Museum.
On July 8th, the Municipal Museum excavated a wooden tomb in the late Western Han Dynasty at a road construction site near Shuanglong Village, Haizhou District, and unearthed cultural relics such as jade, sword, lacquer box, famous name, seal, etc., especially the third Han Dynasty in my country. The wet corpse-the female corpse "Ling Huiping" shocked the archaeological community.
