From March 7th to 8th, two Han tombs were discovered in Dongyao Village (Danxia Group 3), Nanyuntai Township, Xinpu District, Lianyungang City. This tomb belongs to the tomb of the Western Han Dynasty. It is a tomb with one coffin and two coffins. The male coffin is on the north side. The unearthed cultural relics include bamboo hairpins, pottery tripods, bronze mirrors, copper coins, iron swords, combs and other objects.

  On March 17, a small tomb of the Five Dynasties was found in Liuding Village, Haizhou. During the cleaning process, only a very small amount of human bone debris (already powdered) was found, and it was finally judged that this is a small brick tomb of the fifth generation. Xiang Jianyun, Hui Qiang, and Zhu Wei from the Archaeology Department participated in the cleanup.

  On the afternoon of March 18, a group of 2 people from the Utilization Department of the Archives Bureau of Jiangsu Province, accompanied by the leaders of the Municipal Archives Bureau, came to the museum to collect valuable archive materials from Yinwan Han Tomb.

  From March 22nd to 24th, a group of three American rock art experts, accompanied by Dr. Su Sheng from Rongbaozhai Publishing House, inspected the general cliff rock art and conducted related academic exchanges. At 3:00 pm on the 22nd, he gave a speech on "Rock Art in the Southwestern United States" in the Academic Lecture Hall of Huaihai Institute of Technology.

  On March 26, the two basic displays of the new city museum were officially under construction. The two basic displays are: "Lianyun, the Light of Civilization-Exhibition of Lianyungang Historical Relics" and "Exhibition of Yanhan Fine Arts". General design: Ding Xiaoyu of the National Museum, Xu Naixiang of the Palace Museum.

  On March 28, the Yanhan Art Museum began to be demolished.

  On May 14, to welcome the "5·18 International Museum Day", the Municipal Museum held a free treasure appraisal event for cultural relic experts in Cangwu Green Park.

  On May 22, the Municipal Museum and the Reconstruction Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts cooperated to implement rescue protection of the carved stones in the Han Dynasty boundary of Donglian Island in our city.

  On June 23, the relocation of the city museum's cultural relics cabinets and reference room cabinets marked the official start of the relocation of the new city museum.

  On June 25, the ancient corpse of Shuanglong Han Tomb was moved from the old building to the basement of the new building.

  On June 30, the warehouse cultural relics moved. With the cooperation of the armed police, the public security and the bureau, the relocation of the cultural relics was completed.

  On July 22, the relocation of the old museum was completed.

  On July 28, the new city museum held a grand opening ceremony.

  On the morning of August 23, Zhang Jianhua, director of the Provincial Department of Culture, accompanied by Yang Li, deputy mayor of the Municipal Government, Li Zhuzheng, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee, and Wang Yaping, deputy director of the Municipal Bureau of Culture, visited the historical and cultural relics exhibition hall and Yan Han Fine Arts Exhibition Hall, Forbidden City Treasure Exhibition Hall. Director Zhang wrote on the guestbook: "Give full play to the role of Lianyungang Museum in cultural construction."

  On the afternoon of September 7, the "Chinese and Japanese Calligraphers' Works Exchange Exhibition" was grandly opened in our museum. Mayor Liu Yongzhong, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Minister of Propaganda Zhong Kun, Deputy Mayor Yang Li, President of the Japan Daily News Service, Chairman of the Daily Calligraphy Association Masaru Kitamura, Japanese group of the exchange exhibition of Chinese and Japanese calligraphers The chairman of the committee and the director of the Daily Calligraphy Association of the consortium Jinting Oi were invited to attend the opening ceremony.

  From October 1st to 15th, in order to enrich the festival life of the audience, the city museum specially introduced the master of Chinese painting from Wuxi Museum-Qian Songyan's Chinese painting exhibition.

  From October 9th to October 10th, a group of 7 people from Yinan Han Dynasty Stone Relief Museum came to our museum for inspection and study.

  From October 10th to 11th, the cultural relics exhibition of the Palace Museum was dismantled.

  On November 15, the meeting room on the third floor of the City Museum held a symposium on the outline of the "Basic Exhibition of Journey to the West Culture".

  On November 17, the city museum held the inauguration ceremony of the Moral Education and Social Practice Base jointly with the Department of Applied Chinese of Donggang College of Huaihai Institute of Technology in the lobby on the first floor.

  On November 22, the City Museum held its first special lecture in the academic lecture hall, and invited Li Hongfu, a cultural research expert on Journey to the West, to give an academic report on the culture of Journey to the West.

  On December 15, Zhang Taolin, the deputy governor of Jiangsu Province, and his delegation visited the Municipal Museum accompanied by Yang Li, the deputy mayor of Lianyungang.

  On December 27, the City Museum held an exhibition of calligraphy and painting from the collections of the National Palace Museum in Taipei.
