The burial goods were stolen because the soil was exposed to the ground and scattered. Excavations were carried out the next day to collect a small amount of residual burial objects.
On the 25th, the Municipal Museum and the Municipal Calligraphers Association jointly held the "Spring Festival Couplets and Spring Festival Couplets" event at the Municipal Museum. More than a dozen well-known calligraphers from our city wrote more than 300 Spring Festival couplets with ink on the spot and distributed them to the connected parts, ports, and communities. On the 26th, Hui Qiang and Curator Zhou Jinping went to a mountain in Zhongyun Township of the Development Zone to conduct archaeological investigations, and rubbed a piece of stone carving "Qingyang Temple" on site, which has been handed over to the Custody Department for preservation.

On the 15th, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the death of Comrade Deng Xiaoping. The large-scale photo exhibition "Deng Xiaoping, the Chief Designer of Reform and Opening-up" was grandly opened at the Municipal Museum. After visiting this exhibition, Comrade Deng Xiaoping’s relatives wrote the inscription "Lianyunlianhailianxiatian" for Hong Kong City.

On 14-15, Professor Luo, Director of the Ancient Corpse Conservation Center of Hunan University School of Medicine, and Executive Deputy Director You (Secretary of Hunan Provincial Museum), and a group of three, came to our library for inspection, especially for the protection of ancient corpses in our library.
