The three-month ""Celebrate New Year's Day and Welcome the New Year" Exhibition of Works by the Famous Art Educator and Printmaker Mr. Yan Han" recently concluded successfully at the Huaibei City Museum. This exhibition is co-organized by Lianyungang Museum and Huaibei Museum. It is also the first time that Lianyungang Museum has integrated its collection of featured exhibits in recent years. It is in line with the development concept of "invite in, send out" and plan and produce an external themed exhibition exchange event.

A total of 68 masterpieces of Mr. Yan Han in different periods from the 1980s to the 1990s are exhibited in this exhibition. The exhibition takes time as the axis and displays Yanhan's representative works from different periods, such as "Laoyang Museum" and "When the Enemy Searches", etc., which fully demonstrates the legendary life of Mr. Yanhan.

Yanhan is one of the most famous, zeitgeist and most accomplished printmakers in China. Born in Donghai County, Lianyungang, Jiangsu in 1916, died in Beijing in 2011 at the age of 95. He is a representative of "Liberated Area Woodcuts" and has won the National Art Achievement Award many times. In 2001, he was awarded the National Highest Art Award "Golden Color" Lifetime Achievement Award. He is considered: "One of the pioneers of China's emerging printmaking. His creative process shows the sufferings and struggles of the Chinese people in the 20th century, and is closely related to the destiny of the nation."

This exhibition provides a platform for exchanges and appreciation for the citizens of Huaibei, a rich cultural feast. The successful development of the exhibition has promoted cultural exchanges between the two places and provided a good opportunity for the citizens of Huaibei to better understand this tortuous, thoughtful, and profoundly charismatic "warrior" in the history of modern art in my country.
